The Polys should have been performing Handel’s Messiah in St David’s Hall this year. Since we can no longer do that we are hosting a Messiah ‘Zoom and Sing’ on Saturday 5 December. David Young will lead this online workshop which will run from 10.30am to 3.30pm with an hour’s break for lunch. It will include a warm-up, work on different choruses and a sing-through in the afternoon session.
It’s open to everyone and free, but you need to register on Ticketsource to secure your place. Here’s the link to do that:

Although the day is free, we want to use it as a fund-raiser for Help Musicians UK. They are working to support musicians whose livelihoods have been massively affected by the covid-19 pandemic. There’ll be details on how to make a donation nearer the day.
